Reviews: They-ah-a-comin’

March 13, 2009 in Feature

For a while now, I’ve been meaning to replace the old Single Sentence Stance review structure, which honestly didn’t get very far anyway. That’s why I’m proud to announce the new “South’un Slang” review system! Games will fall into the following grading structure for your educational edification:

  • 1-4.9 / F = No’count
  • 5-6.9 / D = Leave it Be
  • 7-7.9/ C = Ah’ight
  • 8-8.9/ B = Purdy Good
  • 9-10/ A = Dern Tootin!

Henceforth, on all reviews, you will be seeing the “South’un Slang” idiom in place of an actual grade, so if you want to equate it to a grading scale (*cough*like for Metacritic for instance*cough*), then refer to this post.  Honestly, I’m not that fond of definitive scores/grades on game reviews, but it almost seems like a necessity these days, especially with the way the game industry has evolved.  Anyway, look forward to seeing my Halo Wars review go up some time later today.
