Thanks again, Zombie god

Seriously, the god of those decaying blights of walking death (or Capcom, at least) has been listening to my prayers lately.  First, Dead Rising 2 is announced, and now on Resident Eve (get it… RE 5 comes out at midnight… Resident Ev(e)[il]… ehhh, nevermind) The Darkside Chronicles gets announced and a trailer is released (which can be viewed below). I am beyond stoked for this, as I’ve been waiting for RE to get back to its zombie roots (although, the Umbrella Chonicles did tide me over) and I’ve been saying for years now that they should remake Resident Evil 2 (my favorite) ala the orignal remake on Gamecube, and while this isn’t a straight remake, it will do… for now.  Speaking of which, the good zombie news just keeps rolling in – Resident Evil 0 and the aforementioned remake are both getting the Wii redux magic with ports (I wonder what the remake of a remake will be like?  Will the universe fold into itself upon the release?  Will the zombie apocalypse finally come to pass!?) on the Capcom “Classics” line. I’ll be at my local Gamestop again at midnight to pick up Resident Evil 5.  I know a few places are having full-on zombified launch parties, but judging by the pitiful Halo Wars launch last week, I’m not holding my breath for my fellow Birminghamians.
